Proposed Amendment

The Alliance is pleased to announce that we working with  Commissioner Larry Suffredin and his office on amending the to Cook County procurement code to increase opportunities for PDBE's and SDVBE's. The Alliance’s proposed legislation includes reciprocity with the City of Chicago, subcontracting opportunities, stacking of certificates, increasing the price preference from 5% to 10%, incentives for businesses to hire individuals with disabilities. There is still a long road ahead for this proposed amendment and we will continue to update you on any changes.
