Outreach and Coordination

Outreach to and coordination with Chicagoland businesses, healthcare providers and nonprofits, to increase awareness of the economic importance of including disabled and veteran with disability-owned businesses to their procurement diversity programs and increase their supply-chain diversity through the utilization of goods and services from these businesses

  • Identify and develop working relationships with procurement leadership staff within the corporate offices of local businesses, healthcare organizations and nonprofits

  • Provide a customized list of disabled and veteran with disability-owned businesses, as well as their industries, products or services that will meet their procurement needs

  • Work with disabled owned businesses in identifying procurement opportunities, preparing proposals and meeting with procurement staff at these organizations

  • Develop customized procurement networking events with the above-mentioned organizations and disabled owned businesses

Outreach to and coordination with local, state and federal agencies to increase awareness of the economic importance of including disabled and veteran with disability-owned businesses to their procurement diversity programs and increase their supplier diversity to meet established procurement goals through the utilization of goods and services from these businesses.

  • Identify and develop working relationships with procurement officials within the city of Chicago and sister agencies, Cook County and State of Illinois

  • Provide a customized list of disabled and veteran with disability-owned businesses, as well as their industries, products or services that will meet these agencies procurement needs

  • Work with disabled owned businesses seeking to compete successfully in local, state and federal government contracting, through identifying contract opportunities, providing procurement technical assistance in preparing and managing the proposal process and meeting with procurement officials at these agencies

  • Develop customized procurement networking events with the above-mentioned agencies and disabled owned businesses
